The new pride of DDSG Blue Danube, the cruise ship MS Wien adds to the white fleet of the DDSG Blue Danube since April 2013. The ship has been christened by Mag. Brigitte Ederer (former Austrian politican and managing board of Siemens AG) on 19th of april 2013. The passenger ship was built in 1998 on the Rhine river and has a normal bow shape and transom. The hull is made entirely of steel. For passengers comfortable loose seating is available on all decks.
Main deck facilities: a modern kitchen, toilets including wheelchair accessible toilet, a large bar with a beer pump, an air-conditioned salon with about 90 seats, located at the back there is the access to the upper deck. Buffet areas and a spacious dance floor available for events on board.
Upper deck facilities: an air-conditioned salon with up to 58 seats, a lounge on the sun deck with about 30 seats and the wheelhouse. The ounge can be used opened or closed depending on the weather.
From the upper deck you can reach another large sun deck, which encompasses the entire ship’s lenght and equipped with some benches.

The DDSG Blue Danube has made investments in the months prior to the commissioning of the new ship to provide passengers with the best possible comfort. MS Wien is used for scheduled and theme ships in Vienna and can be booked for any type of event.

In the month before the new passenger ship arrived the DDSG Blue Danube made investments to offer maximum comfort. The MS Wien is mainly used for sightseeing- and theme cruises in Vienna and for any kind of events.
