In cooperation with our partner Donau Touristik we take you to Passau, bishop's residence and confluence of Danube, Inn and Ilz, on board of the MS Kaiserin Elisabeth.
The confluence of three rivers, Danube, Ilz and Inn, make for an extraordinary cityscape. Hence also the name "three-river city".At the foot of the castle buildings of the Veste Niederhaus the Ilz flows into the Danube from the left, then after a short distance, the Inn flows in from the right. The cityscape of Passau is often compared to the shape of a boat. The tip of the city seems to ply the water like the bow of a ship. Both parts of the city are within walking distance equally from the landing pier and from the train station.
